Background
Its is widely known that the UN Commission on Human Rights Resolution 2003/8 of 15 April 2003, was the latest substantial action taken in the case of the Arab citizens still detained in Israel as hostages
In the text of Resolution 1701 adopted by the UN Security Council, one clearly notices the direct and rigid emphasis on “the unconditional release of the abducted Israeli soldiers”;
While in the same resolution one can clearly notice the weakness and ignorance when tackling the issue of the Arab prisoners detained in Israel.
For this we are gravely concerned about the lack of action done to resolve this human rights case, which is considered a major obstacle to peace in the Middle East.
We are gravely concerned about Israel’s continued concealment of the fate of a large number of missing Arab militants and citizens , and the bodies of deceased Arab martyrs who were taken into detention and transferred to Israeli prisons during the occupation of Southern Lebanon.
In 2009 Our beloved ones started a new stage, as the latest prisoners exchange between Hezbollah and Israel didn't closed this file.
We believe that the Israeli government is still holding Arab detainees hostages, as bargaining chips, and they are ignoring the sensitivity of the case of the detaineesnd the bodies of deceased Arab nationals, focusing only on the ways to hide political frustration after July 2006 War.
