Violation of international laws

Horiah foundation is gravely concerned about the persistent violation, by Israel, of the principles of international law regarding the protection of human rights, particularly those contained in the Universal Declaration of human rights, as well as the grave violation of the relevant provisions of international humanitarian law relative to the protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, contained in the Geneva convention declared in August 12,1949, and the Additional Protocols to the Geneva conventions of 1977.

We hereby recall the General Assembly resolution 40/161 A of December 16th, 1985, which calls upon Israel’s release of all arbitrarily detained and/or imprisoned Arabs, as a result of their struggle for self-determination and for the liberation of their territories.

We hope that the efforts to implement the Security Council resolutions on the occupied Arab territories including 242 (1967) and 338 (1973) and especially 425 and 426 (1978), which call for ending all kinds of conflicts between Arab countries and Israel (including the release of all detainees in Israel) and bind the UN to supervise the full implementation of those resolutions, will be resumed and conducted with a view to reaching a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Therefore, 

We call upon the Government of Israel to comply with the Geneva Conventions, of 12 August 1949, and the Additional Protocols thereto of 1967;

And also call upon the government of Israel to release immediately all remaining Arab nationals who were taken into detention under the Israeli occupation and are held hostages in Israeli prisons as bargaining chips, to disclose the fate of Arab missing persons whom it detained and to return the bodies of the deceased, in compliance with all the relevant Geneva Conventions and provisions of International law;
